About Thomas Weston Sash Windows .

Welcome to Thomas Weston Sash Windows specialist in the restoration of

traditional timber sash windows.

I'm Thomas Weston, a skilled craftsman based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. With hands on experience, I restore period sash windows to their original glory: freeing stuck sashes, installing modern draught proofing, adding weather seals, and full servicing , preserving character without replacement.

My specialisation: Traditional linseed oil paint
I use authentic, plant based linseed paint for priming and finishing. It penetrates deep into the timber, stays flexible, allows the wood to breathe (preventing rot), resists peeling, and lasts far longer than modern alternatives – often 10+ years with simple maintenance. This gives a classic, subtle sheen perfect for heritage homes, while improving efficiency and reducing noise.

Expanding to Cornwall
Cornwall's historic properties from coastal cottages to Georgian houses in Truro, Falmouth, Penzance, St Ives, and beyond feature incredible traditional sash windows. I'm passionate about them and am now extending my services across the county, bringing the same quality restoration and linseed paint expertise.

I'm preparing for relocation to Cornwall soon, so if your windows are draughty, rattling, or need proper care with traditional methods, contact me now. I travel for projects and deliver tidy, professional work.
